Supporting Hawaii'sTransportation & EnergyWorkforce
Organizations in the Transportation and Energy sectors keep Hawaii moving – from buses and harbors to airlines, from trucking delivery to auto sales, from pipelines to gas stations. Long shifts, safety-sensitive duties and high public visibility can create stress that affects health, morale and performance. Employee Assistance of the Pacific offers confidential and culturally-aware support to transportation and energy workers and their families. We help with stress, substance use, financial and legal concerns and family challenges. Because we are locally based, employees can confidentially connect with professionals who understand island communities, values and languages. This makes it easier for them to seek help early and stay healthy, focused and productive on the job.
StrengtheningOperations and Safety
Transportation and Energy industry managers, owners and HR teams also benefit from our management consultations, crisis response and training. We equip supervisors to handle sensitive personnel issues such as conflict resolution, attendance problems or supporting staff after critical incidents quickly and confidently. By reducing absenteeism, turnover and stress-related performance problems, our EAP helps organizations maintain stable teams and safer operations. In Hawaii’s competitive transportation and energy environment, partnering with Employee Assistance of the Pacific is a strategic advantage for retaining valued employees, boosting morale and protecting public trust.
DOT-SAP Services for Safety-Sensitive Employees
For federally regulated safety-sensitive positions, we also provide Department of Transportation Substance Abuse Professional (DOT-SAP) services, as well as trainings that meet DOT standards for FMCSA or PHMSA. When a driver, operator, or other covered employee tests positive for drugs or alcohol, our certified SAPs guide them through the required evaluation, education and follow-up process. This ensures compliance with DOT regulations while supporting the individual’s rehabilitation and return-to-duty, helping employers meet safety obligations and maintain a reliable workforce.
