Supporting Hawaii'sMarine & TourismWorkforce
Employees in Hawaii’s tourism and marine sectors welcome visitors, guide tours, operate vessels, and protect the islands’ natural resources every day. Long hours, safety-sensitive duties, changing weather, and high guest expectations can create stress that affects both personal well-being and job performance. Employee Assistance of the Pacific provides confidential and culturally aware support to tourism and marine workers and their families. We offer help with stress, substance use, financial and legal concerns, and family challenges. Because we are locally based, employees can connect with professionals who understand island communities, values, and languages. This makes it easier for them to seek help early and stay healthy, focused, and productive at work.
StrengtheningOrganizations and Guest Experiences
Tour operators, marine businesses, and HR teams also benefit from our management consultations, crisis response, and training. We equip supervisors to handle sensitive personnel issues such as conflict resolution, attendance problems, or supporting staff after critical incidents quickly and confidently. By reducing absenteeism, turnover, and stress-related service lapses, our EAP helps organizations maintain stable crews and consistent guest experiences. In Hawaii’s competitive tourism and marine environment, partnering with Employee Assistance of the Pacific is a strategic advantage for retaining valued employees, boosting morale, and safeguarding your reputation for excellent service.
DOT-SAP Services for USCG Safety-Sensitive Employees
For federally regulated safety-sensitive marine positions regulated by the US Coast Guard, we also provide Department of Transportation Substance Abuse Professional (DOT-SAP) services. When a covered employee tests positive for drugs or alcohol, our certified SAPs guide them through the required evaluation, education and follow-up process. This ensures compliance with DOT regulations while supporting the individual’s rehabilitation and return-to-duty, helping employers meet safety obligations and maintain a reliable workforce.
